We will drive to our Caribbean coast, passing through the driest area of Central America and visit the beautiful and important Mayan ruins of Quiriguá, with some of the best preserved sculptures in the Mayan world, and the Colonial Fort “Castillo San Felipe”, built during the colonial period to repel pirate attacks. |
